Hi,
My bf and I recently separated. He wanted me out of the house by 10.05.08, I moved out on 10.04.08. We met for coffee on the 7th, it was an ok experience. I told him that I think it would be good for us to not talk for 14 days then get together and discuss our feelings with each other. He thought that was a great idea.

On Tuesday of this week, I sent him an e-mail with all the feelings I am having lately. Next week Thursday (the 23rd) would be our one year anniversary. I had a miscarriage in March, our baby would be due in about 3 1/2 weeks. So i’ve been really depressed lately and I just really miss him. I sent him this e-mail with all these feelings I was having and told him that he didn’t have to respond.

He did and was really mean to me. He has trust issues with me. We were having some financial problems and I told him I would take care of everything but I didn’t do it right away so he was upset by that. I would also say that I was going to do something and not get around to doing it till a month after saying I was going to do it. They were all little things but I did them eventually and we got through our financial problems.

He told me that he feels like he can’t trust me and doesn’t believe a word I say. He also told me that he’s never loved anyone like me so he is just really hurt right now.

I would like to give him his space. Next week is our anniversary. I made this scrapbook for him of everything we’ve done in the past year and I placed an order for flowers to be deliverd to him at the beginning of the month. Should I still give him the scrapbook and send him the flowers even though we are kind of seperated at the moment.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A week ago was me and my boyfriends 1 year anniversary and I have never been in a relationship for that long in my life and i was excited to see what he would do. We were going to visit my family that weekend and the night we left he gave me my gift. He got me monopoly. He said that when we move into together we can play since we like board games and all. It was cute and i did like his idea. But he should have given me flowers or nothing and said I want to plan and give you something when we get back. Well when the day of our anniversary came, he gave me two cards and a Pandora charm. It said i love you on it which was cute, but I just didn’t see any thought put into this at all though. It disappoints me because I have never been in a relationship that long in my life and i thought he would at least put some thought into his gifts and be romantic with it and me. What do men do for their girlfriends on their 1 year anniversary? Am I acting spoiled or am i wrong here? I dont know (

my husband and i never celebrated an anniversary while dating, he always said ‘we’ll celebrate our anniversary when we get married’. so we did end up getting married and last night he tells me that there is a sporting event that he wants to participate in scheduled on the day of our first wedding anniversary (which falls on a sunday). he is a sweet guy and gets me flowers for no reason, etc… but he has made me wait to celebrate an anniversary with him for 3 years and now he wants to celebrate it a day late because of this sporting event. he says if i don’t want him to go then he won’t but if i leave the decision up to him then he will go. should i demand we celebrate our anniversary or let him go to the event?
oh, and the sporting event is 3 hours away and 2 days long (both saturday and sunday).

We are both teenage girls, 14/15 so I can’t take her somewhere very high end or expensive (I live on $20 a week from my parents). I got her a very nice promise ring for our six month anniversary, and I know she is getting me something really nice for our one year. I don’t want to get her jewlery or anything like that and she isn’t one for flowers. I’m at a complete loss at what to do for our anniversary. Any ideas?

I was thinking maybe making a small notebook filled with different things like pictures and song lyrics and memories to give to her but ideas would be wonderful and much appreciated.
Her favorite color is purple, if that helps anyone, however she likes any neon color, and black…And she is very emo/punk, so nothing terribly cute or girly. And thank you for all your help so far!

I am wondering what to do… I got married December 17th of last year. We didn’t do a Christmas of our own last year because it was so soon so we just spent it with families. Anyway the thing I’m most worried about, I’m missing our first anniverary! Grrr. Anyway what can I do? I plan to do something September 17th (at least it’s the same day as our anniversary maybe not the exact month) before I go. What can I do while I’m gone to make it okay for her? Send flowers on that day yes I know, and maybe a gift. But past that? Any help is much appreciated!

but last year i did the whole present flowers on the floor and bed and jacuzzi and nice hotel and made her , her favorite food and candles and chocolate strawberries but this year im drawing up a blank so in need something new and something shell remember forever so what would you girls like me to do for you if i was your bf ?o and shes not very adventurous and simple fact if it helps .something fun and romantic.

my boyfriend and i are celebrating our 1 year anniversary next month, i already know what i’m getting him. i’m getting him a collector dodger jersey(jackie robinsion of the dodgers) but I would like to send him something to work. What kind of flowers do guys like? i saw on a website like a beer mug full of flowers but idk. if not flowers what else can i have sent to him? nothing too big but something that will make him smile
you dont think flowers are cheesy for a guy to receive them at work?

My boyfriend and I have officially been together for a year now! Yay! I want to do something romantic, but he and I are both on a tight budget lately. I just quit my job and haven’t found another one yet, and he just got a new car. Yeah… We’re poor >_< Anyways... What can we do for our anniversary? I mean, all he has to do is buy me flowers and I'm happy. But I have no idea what to get him! I tried to ask him and he said "books" but I don't think that would be right for an anniversary gift. Any ideas?

Also, if anyone is around the Burgh, I would really appreciate some romantic *cheap* locations where we could spend a couple hours. I was thinking on top of Mt. Washington around the sunset, but is that really a romantic spot? And what is the crowds like there on a Saturday night?

Any other thoughts?

Btw, I'm 19, too old for cheezy poetry, every weekend is when we "let loose", and the closest thing to the beach in Pittsburgh is the river banks and... that's a little gross.

Me and my boyfriend just celebrated our 1 year anniversary. And on that day i thought he would atleast give me a card and some flowers but he didnt. He went and brought himself an outfit and some new shoes.. Am i wrong for feeling like he’s selfish.

He wants some idea’s because he told me he was going to get a hotel and then he would probably get some flowers for me and even chocolates, romance isn’t really his thing.
