Our anniversary is in three days. My husband tells me on payday. I have fifty dollars you can buy food or I was gonna get you flowers. I took the money bought groceries and pawned my wedding ring for the cab ride home. I’m having trouble holding back the tears today. I feel that from this day forward I will never be faithful to this man again.
perhaps, I need to make more emphasis on the fact he gets paid weekly and asked ME to get him a
diamond earring. Were not financially strapped.

It will be our 1 month anniversary soon (were friends prior) and i want something small but nice for my girlfriend just as a little “Yay 1 month” sort of thing. Shes not a girly girl, and shes not into flowers or chocolates. I already have a perfect idea, but I’mjust wondering what other people would do

My wife has never been big on celebrations, i.e. she doesn’t normally think much of cards and/or gifts for birthdays or holidays unless it’s for a child. She does expect flowers for her at work on major celebrations, though (to show off). Well, she’s not very affectionate, either. I’ve always felt it’s wonderful to honor and share such things. Something like a birthday wish and maybe dinner and card…at the very least.

I haven’t gotten anything for Valentine’s Day the past two years, but I was sure to get her a nice card and flowers and some other things.

This year, for my birthday, she got me some flowers at work (her idea), took me out to dinner, and got me something nice. It was rather nice, but she made some comments about how immature I am about my birthday.

That said, our 1st wedding anniversary was Sept 4, and even though I got her some flowers at work as well as a nice card on the day of (which was a Saturday) and a gift certificate to her favorite store, I didn’t get anything She didn’t even wish “Happy Anniversary” until I said it to her. We’d talked about dinner that Friday night or later the next week (as we were flying off for a vacation on teh day of), but she blew it off.

I know she’s unaffectionate, and I know that gifts are all about giving, but am I right to be a little worried/upset/concerned about barely even having our first anniversary acknowledged?

Although, we have had many good events and days (pre or post wedding) to remember, I feel that I have been mistreated, insulted and hated on many occasions repeatedly over the past 2 years. The last year was really tough and we are on the verge of separation. We will be completing 4 years of our marriage in March. I am not sure if there is anything to celebrate on the anniversary. Should I still go ahead and plan something? FYI – We did go out for a valentine dinner but there were no flowers or “I love you” etc. Just a plain formality.

My mom and stepdads 1st wedding anniversary is coming up. My stepdad is really really hard to shop for. My mom loves everything. I dont want to get flowers cause its cliche and they die. They dont like to have sweets in the house so candy is out. I dont want to spend a lot but i dont have any idea what to get. The gift would be from me and my younger siblings so nothing dirty. Any ideas?

Our wedding anniversary is coming up in a few weeks. I have always come up with something unique and special to say on the card I send her with flowers.

To give you an example, several months ago it was the anniversay of our first kiss…I know guys normally don’t remember stuff like that, but I do! Here is what I said on the card, “Today, it has been fourteen years since our first kiss and the memory of that is still brand new to me”

I am having a little difficulty in coming up with something for our anniversay, can you guys give me some ideas or suggestions to work with?

My husband was not very romantic, would like him to be more so. Gave me a card and a $50 bill, no flowers. Would have liked more romance. Please advise
