my husband and i never celebrated an anniversary while dating, he always said ‘we’ll celebrate our anniversary when we get married’. so we did end up getting married and last night he tells me that there is a sporting event that he wants to participate in scheduled on the day of our first wedding anniversary (which falls on a sunday). he is a sweet guy and gets me flowers for no reason, etc… but he has made me wait to celebrate an anniversary with him for 3 years and now he wants to celebrate it a day late because of this sporting event. he says if i don’t want him to go then he won’t but if i leave the decision up to him then he will go. should i demand we celebrate our anniversary or let him go to the event?
oh, and the sporting event is 3 hours away and 2 days long (both saturday and sunday).

I’m trying to write a very short, funny but sweet poem for mine and my husband’s anniversary. I’m making him a strawberry bouquet. So far, I’ve got:

Fruit and flowers are tradition
For Four years or marriage
In good condition.

I need one or two more verses to end it. Can you help me. I just really want to say that I love him and that kind of stuff. Thanks for your help.

Our anniversary is in three days. My husband tells me on payday. I have fifty dollars you can buy food or I was gonna get you flowers. I took the money bought groceries and pawned my wedding ring for the cab ride home. I’m having trouble holding back the tears today. I feel that from this day forward I will never be faithful to this man again.
perhaps, I need to make more emphasis on the fact he gets paid weekly and asked ME to get him a
diamond earring. Were not financially strapped.

MEN ONLY: Me and my husband have been married 3 years and yesterday was our 3rd yr. anniversary. And he didn’t get me a card, flowers, anything!! While I got him 5 mylar balloons, chocolates, a rose, card, etc… and I had to practically MAKE him take me to eat. He took me to the cracker barrell! and was in a hurry to get hime so he could watch the big soccer game. That hurt me very much. So I cleaned the bathtub! And, no sex that night. none. and for the goodnight kiss, it wa a henpeck. no, i know what a henpeck is, and that is what it was! We had sex the night b4 and I told him to save it for the next night (Our anniversary) but noooooooooo. He always does this. my birthday (March 10) Valentine’s day, mother’s day, our anniversary, he NEVER gets me anything. ever. and he KNOWS how I feel and he still doesn’t. This hurts me very much. Also, he seems to be emotionally far away. I love him with my whole heart. Back in 2006 I found a personal e-mail in his box (The way I see it is we have access to each other’s e-mail) from a girl, a love letter. This is what it said (My husband is spanish, so it was written in spanish, but this is the english version. mighty funny him bein’ spanish and getting this letter ALSO in spanish, of course, he denied all knowlegde of it) ok, here is what it says: Hi I hope that you are fine. Im only writting to you to tell you that I love you, and I don’t understand why you left, you didn’t tell me anything. You hid something very important to me. Now you’re gone, I feel lonely, I regret treating you bad before you left from my side. I thought you were gonna leave from the company because I thought that you didn’t love me anymore, and that you didn’t want to see me. But u had gone to venezuela and you didn’t even let me know that day that you wanted to speak to me. If you would have told me I would’ve understood. Why did you leave me? Everyday I think about you. Now who know when ill see u again. I didn’t want to give you pictures because I want to see you again. If you really love me call me at 5346508 or write to me that way ill be sure that you love me and that u haven’t forgot about me. I have a lot of memories of you. Like the day we got on the “metro” to spend time together, and the teddy bear you gave me for our first month anniversary. That means a lot to me.Everyone at the factory hugs me and tell me that I will be fine, and to move on .. But no, I still have hope that you will come back. Now remember, this was back in Dec. 3 of 2006, but I don’t care!! We were still married and had our daughter (Who turned 2 Feb. 7) Is there anyway this could be a mistake? and why no cards or flowers? he says he doesn’t have to show me because I already have him – WHAT A LOAD OF BULL. any woman would think what I am thinking. Please guy, tell me from a guy what could be going on? I know you don’t know for sure, but you are still a guy and you know why a guy would act this way. Tell me some things to do that I could find out for myself. What question(s) might I ask? Little things I could say that would cause him to let something slip, something like that??

I really need to talk to someone about this! This is really hard on me.

He wants some idea’s because he told me he was going to get a hotel and then he would probably get some flowers for me and even chocolates, romance isn’t really his thing.

so I asked her husband if I could help by inviting people she knows he said yes. I spent on invitations and sent them out. She wants me to do flowers, favors, music and photography.Now my daughter says they have 30 response ( does not want more guests) and angry I invited other people. So far 5 guests responded from my side. What should I do? Her 10th Wedding Anniversary celebration is on 02/13/2010 Buffet style.

I haven’t sent flowers although I am considering it I have sent him an edible arrangement ( http://www.ediblearrangements.com/ ) but I did not want to send that again. I just did not think flowers were appropriate for a man. Please help with suggestions.

I am currently in the Philippines right now and my husband is in Dubai, U.A.E. I would like to surprise him by sending flowers on our anniversary at the end of this month. I need online flower shops available in Dubai, I tried a couple of sites I found on the internet but i can’t get through… Hope You can help me ASAP

My husband got me this great boquet of flowers. Today is our third anniversary…I didn’t even know what they were for until I read the card a second time! I feel so terrible, but I want to make it up to him. He is going to be out of town for two days, what are some ideas to get him or do for him when he gets back?
