Anniversary Celebration Idea?
Our anniversary is next Friday, we’ve known each other for 5 years. My fiance doesn’t like to give or receive sappy things like poems, songs, romantic movies, flowers, etc (you get the point). On the other hand, I am very romantic. What is the best way to celebrate this?
In the last few years, we celebrated it by having dinner (home cooked or in restaurant) and to an amusement park.
I have an idea for this year to call a massage therapists to our apartment (1 hr for a couple massage is $75), kind of pricey for me, but actually that’s a really good deal. But I figure that would be something to start or end our anniversary. Any other gifts or places to go to make the day extra special for both of us?
Words that describe my fiance: serious, business-minded, social, wine, extreme sports, planned ahead, vegetarian.
Me: shy, romantic, spontaneous, traveling, witty, chocolate lover.
One thing for sure, we don’t have much extra money to spend. Dinner and movie at home is nice, but that is something that we always do in weekends (not special).
Anniversary Issue with boyfriend?
My 5th anniversary with my boyfriend was yesterday and he didn’t do anything special. I am not a high maintenance person, but 5 years is a big anniversary, especially with my patience of no engagement.
The weeks/days before our anniversary, I kept mentioning that I wanted to do something special and make reservations for dinner. My boyfriend kept being very nonchalant and saying “It’s taken care of”, as though he had something planned. He had NOTHING planned. Yesterday afternoon, I asked what we were doing for dinner and he said, “Whatever you want. It’s Tuesday so we dont need reservations”. We did end up going out to dinner but it’s the lack of thought that bugs me.
He didn’t buy me anything, not even flowers. Again, its not the money, its the thought. He absolutely put no thought in to this. We are young adults, 27 and 29, but we are old enough to understand the meaning of our relationship, and he is making me feel like the past 5 years have had no importance to him.
I want him to know that I’m offended, but he seems to get defensive with things like that. How do I approach this? I was thinking about buying flowers and putting them on our kitchen table to give him a hint.

Coral or Jade colored flowers?
My parents 35th wedding anniversary is coming up in August. We are having a small dinner for them since we had a huge party on their 25th and they asked us not to have a party this year.
Even though it’s just a small, family dinner … I am trying to do all the little details that go along with the traditional and modern 35th anniversary customs. Since the 35th anniversary doesn’t have a flower associated with it … I thought I would do floral arrangements in coral and jade. Coral is the traditional gift … and jade is the more modern gift for the 35th anniversary. I thought I could incorporate that into the flowers instead. However, Im having a hard time finding flowers that are coral or jade!! Any ideas????? Thanks!
He doesn’t get me flowers anymore?
My boyfriend and I have been together for nine months now.
On our first date and almost every anniversary or special day since, he has brought me flowers. These last two anniversaries, he’s stopped..
We both don’t have jobs anymore, but his parents always give him money. He’ll buy me lunch sometimes, but the one thing he doesn’t get anymore is flowers. My mom’s noticed this too and asked, I made up something to cover it up. Idk why, but this is really bothering me. I don’t think our relationship has changed in a negative way, but idk.. I would appreciate it once or twice. Our anniversary was today, and yesterday he made me dinner and such. I kinda brought it up and was told that he planned to, but forgot when he shopped for ingredients for dinner.
I just really like flowers, the small ones don’t cost too much, and they smel nice so they make me happy..
Am i just making a big deal out of nothing?
i don’t want to sound like a spoiled brat though, but the problem is.. he did used to spoil me.

What is a good gift for a 16 year old girl for a 3 month anniversary?
I know that 3 months isn’t that big of a deal, but I want to do something nice for her. We go out to dinner every once in awhile, so I don’t think that would do. I also get her flowers pretty often, so that might not be that great either. I was thinking earrings or something but I don’t want to go too over the top or anything. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
What should I get my wife for our 1st Wedding Anniversary?
I’ve already got the nice dinner set up, flowers etc. But what about the gift? I don’t want to buy something super nice because then I’ll have to start topping myself year after year.
Besides, we’re trying to save up to buy a house.
Any ideas would help….thanks
What’s a good 6 month anniversary present for a girlfriend?
Well, as stated above, it’ll be 6 months in a few days. Aside from dinner and flowers, and other clever ideas??
Guys – anything clever you did for you lady she liked?
Girls – anything your bf did for you that you really liked (aside from the obvious jewlery and flowers type stuff)??
Any help is appreciated!
The girl is 22 if that helps.. not overly romantic (but still likes that gaggy stuff to some extent)
What type of anniversary gift should I give my parents?
Its going to be a very casual dinner that we’ll be taking them to, nothing fancy but I would like take them a gift. Besides flowers and cards, what could I stop at the mall and get them each? No photo frames or scrapbooks something nicer.
