Our anniversary is on february 27th, and up till now i’ve been focusing on his valentines gift haha. So i haven’t given any thought to an anniversary present until today… and i have no idea.. he’s a boy, so naturally he’s hard to shop for. We’re both 18, and he’s your typical boy- likes food and video games and boy-ish things but never knows what he wants for special occasions. I love him like no other, and even though i know him better than anyone, i don’t know what to give him. I want to give him something personal but still fun or cute. any ideas?

In the past i have given him these things. (Please don’t tell me they’re stupid and i shouldn’t have given him these, because even if he didn’t love them, he loves me, and the just fact that i gave them to him he loves):

a cactus (because flowers just die)
i made him a pillow (he has a lot of trouble sleeping, so he doesn’t get much sleep)
i painted him a picture (I will be majoring in art next year)
I’ve made him CDs
A bow and arrow that shoots marshmallows

any ideas?

A week ago was me and my boyfriends 1 year anniversary and I have never been in a relationship for that long in my life and i was excited to see what he would do. We were going to visit my family that weekend and the night we left he gave me my gift. He got me monopoly. He said that when we move into together we can play since we like board games and all. It was cute and i did like his idea. But he should have given me flowers or nothing and said I want to plan and give you something when we get back. Well when the day of our anniversary came, he gave me two cards and a Pandora charm. It said i love you on it which was cute, but I just didn’t see any thought put into this at all though. It disappoints me because I have never been in a relationship that long in my life and i thought he would at least put some thought into his gifts and be romantic with it and me. What do men do for their girlfriends on their 1 year anniversary? Am I acting spoiled or am i wrong here? I dont know (

My boyfriend and I have officially been together for a year now! Yay! I want to do something romantic, but he and I are both on a tight budget lately. I just quit my job and haven’t found another one yet, and he just got a new car. Yeah… We’re poor >_< Anyways... What can we do for our anniversary? I mean, all he has to do is buy me flowers and I'm happy. But I have no idea what to get him! I tried to ask him and he said "books" but I don't think that would be right for an anniversary gift. Any ideas?

Also, if anyone is around the Burgh, I would really appreciate some romantic *cheap* locations where we could spend a couple hours. I was thinking on top of Mt. Washington around the sunset, but is that really a romantic spot? And what is the crowds like there on a Saturday night?

Any other thoughts?

Btw, I'm 19, too old for cheezy poetry, every weekend is when we "let loose", and the closest thing to the beach in Pittsburgh is the river banks and... that's a little gross.

My boyfriend and my 3 year anniversary is coming up in a few months and I need a cool gift idea. We are both 19 and in college, so money is somewhat tight.
Past gifts:
A book with all the reasons I love him
A picture slideshow with music
Clothes (I ALWAYS get him clothes!)
Flowers and food

I want this day to be really special. I was thinking of getting him a small gift and then spending the day doing an activity. Does anyone have any good ideas????

I’m trying to come up with a fun idea for a 4th anniversary gift for my husband. He’s been trying to fix up our backyard which is very plain and I thought it’d be fun to get him a tree. I’d like one that produces beautiful flowers that would be able to survive the Houston climate. If it produces fruit too that would be fine but since the traditional 4th anniversary gift is flowers, that’s what I was going for.

Okay, last anniversary I got my long term girlfriend an expensive necklace. We talked about this upcoming anniversary and we both decided we wanted to do something a little less big, just so that we didn’t overwhelm ourselves/take the meaning away from anniversaries. However, I would still like to get her some flowers, however, I’ve never gotten her a bouquet before.

If I got to a local flower store and I want to spend say, under $50 (she asked me not to buy anything too expensive because money is tight right now for us/her and she doesn’t want to feel bad for making me buy her something) what would be a good choice to get? What should I ask for?

Im helping my friend pick out his like valentines/anniversary gift we want something that tells his girlfriend that he thaought about her so no like flowers and chocolatess and that stuff something originall and cute for a 14 year old couple. its our 1 year anniversary and we’ve both been counting down the days… i dont want to sound selfish, but he didn’t get me anything at ALL. not even flowers. i wasnt even expecting much but i was hoping to at least get one flower or something. but he did apologize and genuinely felt bad… so i guess its the thought that counts. im not all that mad…. should i be? i made him a mix cd and bought some cute lingerie for him.. but thats all

OK, so my boyfriend and I will have been together one whole year in July. We met when I lived in his city. I moved back home (about a 9 hr drive) 7 months into the relationship. We continued to do that long distance relationship and now we’re hiting the one year mark! It happens to fall on a week day. I cant go visit him until the weekend. So, do any of you have any suggestions on what I can send him on the actual day of our anniversary? Do guys like recieving flowers?
